Preparing for My Book Launch
How to be your own hype person and aim high when you are used to playing small.
Even if you don’t identify as a writer, you should start writing. It helps you to process your emotions, unearth your desires, put words to feelings, and share your needs with the world. Writing is the ultimate method to help you manifest things that you want. By manifest, I mean, take things from the unseen world (your subconscious, your inner child), and bring them into things you can see and touch.
My book, Career Wounds, is coming out in May of 2026. I’ve been thinking about book tour. This seems like something that sensible authors would do, or popular authors, and I want to be both sensible and popular. But I feel a little discomfort about the popular piece. The work feels vulnerable, and am I really going to do a 10-city tour (or whatever) to promote this book? Part of me wants to aim high: go for the Today Show, hire a publicist, talk to my other creator friends, start a ground swell of support.
